I need some feedback on Crystal Zephyr. I plan on keeping her around for a while, so what are your first impressions of her? I think she has some potential, and lord knows that Area 42 is sort of lacking in the female character department. The only two regular female characters are the slutty demon and Edolie DePrit, and I can't even remember that demon's name. Lyssa, I think.

Anyway, this strip continues both M's sort-of fame for starring on a bad Nickelodeon show (I think this is the first time anyone has said its name within the comic) and the now running gag that there's people writing bestiality slash-fic about his character. Of course, Crystal could have just written something about M and Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog but in some circles that's just as bad, if not worse.

She's definitely made a strong first impression. Very few people would outright tell someone that they put them in an erotic Sonic the Hedgehog crossover fic, much less do so to troll them rather than show some kind of perverse attachment.

Also, yay early 90's Claremont X-Men reference! I never understood why they thought it was a good idea to turn Psylocke from a distinctly refined British lady to an improbably busty (even by comic superheroine standards)thong-wearing Japanese ninja, and it only got more ridiculous when the occupant of said ninja's body returned in Psylocke's original British body under the name Revanche. I think this was the beginning of the point where X-Men stories made telenovela plots look simple, coherent, and dignified by comparison.

The whole Siege Perilous thing was, at once, amazing interesting and mindbogglingly stupid.

She's definitely a character. A bit acidic, if that's what you were going for. Kinda mean-spirited. That being said, she has definitely made a strong impression.

Oh yes, at least towards M.
