Today's comic features a cameo from the mascot of the Webcomic Underdogs, the amazing Space Lincoln! He and M (along with dozens of other characters) have appeared in various bits of fan art, which should give you a hint about the party to which Space Lincoln is referring.

I'm glad you like it. I was actually sort of worried you guys would be upset with him having a speaking cameo.

Some day there'll be a Webcomic Underdogs crossover fighting game. I'm already imagining characters, levels, and Final Smashes.

Yes, I would be willing to build that! I once toyed around with making a typing-training fighting game. Alas, too many projects at the moment.

That would be pretty amazing. Would Space Lincoln be the final boss, then?

Oh yeah! And he'd have a batshit-insane giant final form, too. Perhaps he'd turn into some kind of one-winged Fallen Angel creature with three heads, including those of Pirate Ulysses S. Grant and Ninja Hannibal Hamlin.

Oh man I love that idea. If only we had a game developer willing to work for free in the community for the better part of a couple years and make the game for us, haha. I have actually toyed with the idea of finding someone to help make an 8-bit Space Lincoln game but it's just a little idea I've had planted in the back of my mind. Haven't given it too much thought.

In the meantime maybe we should think about making some kind of RPG game? Or is that even possible for something like this?....

I used to know a very little about RPG Maker, I'm trying to learn Adventure Game Studio, and I did a text adventure thing with Twine. We could probably whip up something with one of those.

Mike, this is SO meta, even the meta is meta. I think.

I once made a comic where the characters in the comic were reading a comic about another comic I did, and later on, in that comic, the characters from the first comic became regular characters of the second comic and the characters from the second comic entered the world of the characters from the first comic.

This is why I rebooted all of my characters when I started doing comics again.

You've laid down the foundation for bartender Lincoln, well done! Mixing a martini no less - you read my mind!

Thanks for the cameo, you rock!
